Job Description
The IT Senior Business Analyst will act as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, leading complex initiatives across custom apparel and licensed consumer products. This role requires deep expertise in apparel manufacturing operations, licensing compliance, and enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, EDI, and e-commerce platforms.
The ideal candidate will drive scalable, compliant, and efficient technology solutions across product development, sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, and sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Design
-
Lead requirements gathering for enterprise and multi-system initiatives
-
Translate business needs into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional specs
-
Analyze and optimize end-to-end apparel lifecycle processes—from design and costing to production, fulfillment, and royalty reporting
-
Partner with architects and development teams to define aligned, scalable solutions
Custom Apparel Operations
-
Support systems and workflows for:
-
Screen printing, DTG, embroidery, sublimation, and on-demand production
-
Custom order configuration, artwork management, and proof approvals
-
Short-run and mass customization models
-
-
Ensure systems enable speed-to-market, accuracy, and scalability
Licensed Apparel & Compliance
-
Lead requirements for licensed product workflows including:
-
Artwork, style, and color approvals
-
Licensee/licensor compliance (Disney, NFL, NBA, NCAA, etc.)
-
SKU, channel, territory, and date restrictions
-
-
Ensure accurate royalty calculation, accruals, reporting, and audit readiness
-
Collaborate with Legal, Licensing, and Finance teams to maintain governance
Systems & Integrations
-
Serve as SME for enterprise platforms including:
-
ERP: NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365
-
PLM: Centric PLM, FlexPLM, Backbone
-
EDI: SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce (850, 855, 856, 810)
-
E-commerce / OMS: Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce

WMS and 3PL integrations
-

Lead system enhancements, integrations, and migration initiatives
-
Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution
Data, Reporting & Analytics

Define KPIs for:

Sales performance, margins, and inventory turns

Production lead times and order cycle times
-
Royalty accuracy and compliance
-

Partner with BI teams using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
Stakeholder Leadership

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across:

Design & Merchandising

Licensing & Legal
-
Sourcing & Production

Sales, E-commerce & Operations

Finance & Accounting

Facilitate workshops, executive reviews, and steering committees

Mentor junior BAs and contribute to BA standards and best practices
Required Qualifications
Experience & Domain Expertise
-
10+ years of enterprise Business Analysis experience
-
5+ years in custom apparel, apparel manufacturing, or licensed consumer products
-
Proven delivery experience across ERP, PLM, EDI, and e-commerce platforms
-
Strong understanding of apparel supply chain and manufacturing operations
Technical & Methodological Skills
-
Strong documentation and process modeling skills
-
Experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
-
Understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows
-
Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of SQL preferred
Soft Skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
